Pliable PVC-U Corrugated Flexible Conduit

Corrugated pliable conduit for the parts of a run that cannot be rigid — final connections to equipment, routes through structure, and anywhere the geometry is too awkward or too changeable for rigid pipe.

Sizes and coils

20mm and 25mm supplied in 50m coils, 32mm and 40mm in 25m, 50mm in 20m. Codes AECC2000 through AECC5000, with the LSGR suffix for the grey LSF version.

Termination

Flexible conduit is terminated into boxes and equipment with clip-in adaptors carrying a male bush (IMCC2010, IMCC2510) or with glands (IMCC2010G, IMCC2510G) where the entry needs to be sealed. Do not simply push corrugated conduit into a knockout — without an adaptor the entry is neither mechanically secure nor sealed.

Where to use it, and where not

Ideal for the last metre to a motor, a rooftop unit or a piece of plant that vibrates or has to be removed. It is not a substitute for rigid conduit on general routes: it is harder to draw cables through, less resistant to mechanical damage, and a long flexible run sags and traps water.

Frequently asked

Can flexible conduit be used for a whole circuit run?
It is designed for short final connections and awkward transitions. A long flexible run is difficult to draw cables through, offers less mechanical protection and can sag and hold water. Use rigid conduit for the main route.
